Le Service d’OncoBiologie au sein du laboratoire de biologie médicale (LBM - pôle de biologie) de l’AP-HM est spécifiquement dédié à l’oncologie biologique. Le Service d’OncoBiologie développe et réalise les explorations biologiques permettant d’assurer le diagnostic, le suivi et la prise en charge thérapeutique de patients souffrant d’une pathologie tumorale solide ou d’une hémopathie maligne.
Le service procède à des examens de biologie médicale à visée diagnostique, théranostique et/ou pronostique. Les tests à visée théranostique recherchent l’expression de biomarqueurs tumoraux pouvant être prédictifs de la réponse ou de la résistance à une thérapie ciblée anticancéreuse. Ils ont ainsi un impact déterminant sur la prise en charge des patients en phase avancée et/ou métastatique.

Les examens sont réalisés directement sur le tissu tumoral (pièces d’exérèse ou biopsies) mais également sur le sang circulant (marqueurs sériques, ADN libre circulant, onco-hématologie) ou sur la moelle osseuse (onco-hématologie). Ils permettent une adaptation posologique de certains anticancéreux, une stratégie thérapeutique individualisée.

Le secteur d’onco-hématologie est dédié aux hémopathies malignes et certaines analyses d’oncologie gynécologique/ORL :
- Sur ARN : recherche de transcrits de fusion (ex. : BCR-ABL et FIP1L1-PDGRFRa)
- Sur ADN : recherche de mutations du gène JAK 2, Calréticuline et MPL, et de clonalités lymphoïdes T ou B, recherche de mutations sur un panel de gènes dans le contexte des hémopathies myéloïdes

Le service d’OncoBiologie fait partie de la Plateforme Hospitalière de Génétique Moléculaire des Cancers de la Région PACA-OUEST labellisée par l’INCa (Institut National du Cancer).
Le service est en étroite interaction avec les services de spécialités pour anticiper et développer les différents marqueurs nécessaires à la thérapeutique.
Nous collaborons aussi avec les services, de biologie cellulaire, d’anatomie et cytologie pathologiques de l’AP-HM et d’établissements extérieurs.

Le service participe à plusieurs protocoles de recherche clinique et thérapeutique, notamment avec le Centre d’Essai Précoces en Cancérologie (CLIP2).

L’activité du service est accréditée par le Cofrac selon le référentiel de la norme NF EN ISO 15189 pour la majorité de ses examens biologiques.
